Le mariage, réalité humaine commune, a bénéficié, dans l’histoire de la France, sinon d’une sacralisation, du moins d’une sorte de légitimation religieuse, avant d’obtenir une légitimation séculière. Mais aujourd’hui, force est de constater que l’institution du mariage elle-même est questionnée ; il n’y a plus consensus – en revanche le clivage des catholiques et des protestants s’estompe dans ce domaine…
